The Volkswagen Polo Vivo is a sub compact vehicle manufactured by Volkswagen and is available to the market in either the hatchback, saloon, coupe or estate variants. It is part of the Polo family, a product of the Germany car maker Volkswagen. It is made available to the South African market by Volkswagen South Africa. The Vivo hatchback uses two 1.4L engines and 1.6 L engine variant in its portfolio. The lower capacity 1.4-liter engine is capable of delivering 55 kW at 5000 rpm. The 1.4 L engine has a very good fuel consumption of 6.2 L per 100km and this engine is available on both the 2-door and 4-door model variants. The upper range 1.4 L engine delivers 63kW and reaches a maximum torque of 132Nm at 3600 rpm.
