Toyota has taken an evolutionary approach with the design of its all-new Toyota Yaris. The new Yaris is available in 3-door and 5-door body styles, although the former is available in a far wider range of models this time around. The new Yaris TS is a sophisticated sporty version of the popular Yaris Hatch. More subtle than aggressive in its approach to sports styling, the new Toyota Yariswill find favour amongst both male and female buyers.
The new Toyota Yaris comes standard with remote control central locking, factory fitted air conditioning, power adjustment for side mirrors, electric windows for front and rear. The Toyota Yaris has managed to increase interior space without stretching the exterior dimensions too much – but the reality is that the new Yaris is a bigger car
It now features a more expressive, tinted headlamp cluster design, newly developed matt silver door handles, a new modern wheel cap design as well as new alloy wheels and a new rear light colour treatment.
Other features offered as standard across the three specification levels on offer include power steering, a six-speaker sound system with iPod and USB connections.
Under the skin, buyers get to choose between an updated 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine and a completely new 1.3-litre four-cylinder powerplant. The former is offered in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox only, while the more powerful unit is coupled with either a six-speed manual, or a CVT auto gearbox.
With a strong emphasis on safety, the Yaris provides ABS brakes with EBD, emergency brake assist, dual stage driver and passenger airbags.
