Launched in 2007, the BMW 1 Series Convertible was unveiled on International Automobile-Ausstelung (IAA) alongside the BMW 1 Series Coupe. The Convertible is 2-door body style car and 18” alloy wheel in W-Spoke styling with kidney grille slats in black. The eye-catching feature of the Convertible is the electronic soft-top that opens and closes in only 22 seconds even if the car is moving at a speed up to 40km/h. The soft top features multifaceted inside layer and pleasantly integrated with the shape of the convertible while the rear light is fabricated with three-separated high performance light with LED technology.

The BMW 1 Series Convertible presents the most stimulating open-top driving experience in its kind. Under the hood of the BMW, there is a set of four petrol and three diesel engines. The petrol engines varies between the six cylinder BMW 125i and 135i and the four cylinder 118i and 120i while the diesel engines are the four cylinder 118d, 120d and 123d.

The inside of the BMW 1 Series is as stunning as the outside, with a sport leather multi function sports leather with chrome clasp, three spokes and remote control for radio/telephone. The radio is a ‘Radio Business CD’ with six station buttons, five loudspeakers and MP3 decoder. For a comfortable interior, the air conditioning system is fit in with micro filter and six heating air outlets. The car is also equipped with an aboard computer to display information about speed, temperature or current consumption and also features an audio ice warning system.

Concerning the safety of the car and the passenger/driver, BMW has installed airbags to provide specific protection for the driver and front passenger and head thorax airbags in the front seat backrest. A combination of three point seatbelt, pyrotechnic belt pretensioners and belt force limiter provides the best possible intervention in case of impact. The car is also mounted with specific adaptive headlights, stability control, disc brakes, and bumpers in the front and rear, which survive impact along with ISOFIX child binding system in the back.

The BMW 1 Series Convertible is a combination of auto Start-Stop system, electric power steering with an electric water pump designed for fuel economy, lower emissions and increased in performance.
