1. Can we still arrange finance through you even though we are based out of Cape Town?
Yes of course. We have facilitators in all our major cities that can assist you with your purchase.
2. Would I still be able to get finance if I do not have a drivers license?
No, you need a valid drivers license to get finance through the banks. However, we can arrange a personal loan of up to R 100 000, which enables you to buy your car cash and then a drivers license is not necessary.
3. I am not a South African citizen and would like to know if I would qualify for finance?
If you are in the possession of a work visum, you can contact the head office of the bank DIRECT (we regret it cannot go through us - it needs a head office approval)
BUT
If the amount you require to finance is less than R100 000 and you are in the possession of either a green bar coded ID-document or a SA- driver's license, you could contact us and we will attempt to finance you through NEDBANK. |
4. If I am not based in South Africa; can I still buy a car from you?
Yes, we will supply you with the necessary paper work to enable you to take your car back over the border.
5. If I am Blacklisted can assist me with finance?
No, unfortunately not. We work through all the major banks and they will no provide finance to anyone who is listed.
6. I see you provide private vehicle finance, so are you an accredited financial service provider?
Yes, we are an accredited financial services provider. We do however NOT do inhouse financing. We do finance through WESBANK, ABSA, MFC & NEDBANK. We also facilitate the sale of private cars between private individuals on the behalf of ABSA.
7. How do I list my car on your website?
If you are a private person you can go to private car sales at the top of our home page and follow the instructions. Your car will be allocated to one of our Sales Facilitators who will personally be responsible for your vehicle. He/she will receive any phone calls or emails from any interested parties and will facilitate the sale of your vehicle on your behalf. They will arrange finance for the buyer and provide a safe environment to complete the transaction.
8. Is there any costs involved for you to facilitate the sale of my vehicle?
Our service is completely free unless we sell your vehicle, so you have nothing to lose. Our commission to facilitate the sale of your vehicle is only 3,5% of the selling price or a minimum of R3000. The only other cost to you is R400 for a roadworthy and multipoint check done by the AA. This is very important as it gives the buyer more confidence in buying your car privately.
9. I’m not sure I’m happy buying a car from a private person, how do I know the car is right and do I get a warranty?
To ensure that the vehicle is in good working order, we insist that the car goes to the AA for a roadworthy, multipoint check and Higher Purchase Investigation prior to you taking ownership of the vehicle. The AA is a reputable agency and their reports are very comprehensive. Your sales facilitator can offer you a wide range of warranty option available on the market to give you further peace of mind.
10. But why would I want to buy a car from a private person anyway?
Generally a private person is able to sell you their car at a better price than a dealership can.
